Pokhara is the most beautiful city of the Nepal as well as whole Asia. millions of people travels pokhara from several parts of the world.

All Nepalese pride Pokhara

Phewa and fishtailPokhara is one of the beautiful place of the earth. It is in the lap of the mountain. It is also known as a town of lake. It is 200 kms far from the capital city (Kathmandu). Pokhara is situated at an altitude of 827 meters from sea level. It is linked by Air and by road from Kathmandu and the Indian border Sunauli. Pokhara can be reached in 6 hours bus ride and just 30 minutes by Airplane from Kathmandu. From pokhara we can see the several mountains such as Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchher(Fishtail), Manaslu, Annapurna and others. Fishtail is just 30 kms far from pokhara and we can see the shadow in the phewa lack.in this way there is beautiful views of hills also they are Sarankot, Kaskikot, Kalikasthan, Bharat Pokhari and the Pumdi Bhumdi Hills.

Pokhara has suitable climate for visit. People can visit every time in the year. At the time of winter the average temperature is 6degree Celsius and at summer 30-32 celsius.

There are severall lakes and rivers in pokhara. Fewa, Bernas Rupa are the famous lakes of the pokhara. In the same way the seti river flows through the heart of the pokhara. In pokhara there are many caves. They are Mehendra cave, Gupteshwot mahadev, chamera cave and others. In pokhara near Gupteshwot mahadev there is davis fall.

There are several temples of Hindu’s people and Buddhist’s people. One is Baharai temple which is almost center of the Fewa Lake and surrounded by the water. Other temples are Bindabashini,Buddhist monastery and so on.

One interesting thingis that in pokhara the seti river goes completely underground in certain places.

Pokhara- the city of Monopoly

This is it finally. Never wanted to write about this. Never wanted to let people outside Pokhara know that this is the city of monopoly after all they all know Pokhara the famous tourist destination in spite of other backside stories. Only those surviving and typical of this small unplanned, unmanaged and pathetic city dwellers could find few drops of choices in many aspects.

This is totally what I mean by- my personal feeling of inside Pokhara.

Syndication, privatization and monopolistic approach of all private sectors. After all, unawared public…

■ISP Monopoly – Ever thought how much a per hour internet of 28kbps costs in Pokhara? No matter which cyber cafe you go, it’s the same Rs 30. They got a cyber cafe owners organization which will determine works like letting other to open cafe or not, how much to charge (during loadshedding and regular hour),— seems like there is no government in Nepal, huh and ….. Just a few FewaNet, WLink, BuddhaNet and Pokhara i-Net, (not talking NTC, Mero mobile and UTL the nameshake wireless net) are local ISPs in Pokhara which have nodal points in Kathmandu to broadcast here. The cost is devastatingly high. General people can’t purchase, even if they purchase they get bandwidth of frustations (yes, absolutely my point and my experience).
■Cable TV Monopoly- Can you believe no two cable operators exist in Pokhara? You can’t open another Cable operation in Pokhara. Even if you, you’ll get merged sooner or later. Hence, the obvious monopoly. You must pay increased lumsum amount to these elephants for just 35 or few more channels (and repeatingly list goes to 65 around).
■Public Vehicle Monopoly- You can’t buy new vehicle and queue it to new route as permitted by local government and police. There are very strong (yes, stronger than another force in this country) force of taxi drivers, bus drivers, helpers and so on. The older the vehicle, the more expensive it becomes. A micro-bus purchased 5 years before for 18 lakhs now costs 37lacks here. What do you say?
■Hotels/Restaurants Monopoly
■Phewa/Begnas Lake Boating Monopoly
■Parking Lot Monopoly
■And … monopoly of monopoly

Tibetan Refugee Camp at pokhara

There are the two Tibetan villages in the vicinity of Pokhara. One of them called Tashiling is in the south past patale chhango. The other village by the name of Tashi Palkhel lies north of Pokhara at a place called Hyanja on Pokhara Baglung Highway. The Tibetan people living in these villages keep themselves busy by producing and trading in woolen carpets and other handicraft items. They also run souvenir shops around lakeside. Some of them work like hawkers selling souvenirs at bargaining prices.

SIGHTSEEING PLACES IN POKHARA VALLEY

Bindavasini and Barahi temple, Mahendra Cave, Davi's Fall, Tibetan Refugee Camp, Seti River gorge, Sarangkot and World Peace Temple (Hill station for sunrise and sunset and viewing mountain ranges).
Few places in the world might have a splendid variety of natural beauties crammed into one small area like the valley of Pokhara. It is a rare combination of the long arrays of snowclad peaks, crystal clear lakes, and turbulent rivers with deep gorges and picturesque villages inhabited by simple and friendly ethnic people. Situated at the lap of the panoramic Annapurna Himal, the climate of Pokhara remains favorable all the year round it is neither too warm nor too cold. The monsoon rains are strongest during June to August. Other months are relatively dry. Due to pleasant, climate and good accessibility Pokhara is enjoyable throughout the year.

Sirubari pokhara ( nepal )

This is a small village nestled on the southern slopes that lies on the western Nepal near Pokhara valley, entirely inhabited by Gurung ethnic group. The village situated at an altitude 1700m is small and compact with neat and clean well maintained paved trails connecting the mainly stone and slate built houses. The village consists of 60 households. The village offers spectacular views of the Himalayas including Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Lamjung ranges in the north, beautiful hamlets and valleys stretching away towards Terai. Likewise, large numbers of pilgrimage sites, shrines, flora and fauna, tranquil lakes, dot the landscapes. The vibrant culture, tradition and lifestyle of the Gurung peoples blended with their affluent hospitality make for a remarkable experience for the lifetime. The village ensures a comfortable climate regardless of any season of the year.

Sirubari can be reached a three hours walk from road head, just 30km away from Pokhara. The village a recent innovation is successfully demonstrated as village tourism. No hotels and lodges as such are available in the village. While in Sirubari, visitors will have to stay in the home of locals as home stay. During their home stay, visitors can have the insights of the rural community and enjoy their warm hospitality. The accommodation is simple, but comfortable with good bedding as well clean rest rooms. The village is perfect location for bird watching and wildlife observation too. World Climate

World Climate
Our World climate is continually changing, alhough we can only see these changes in the climate of the world over long periods of time.

It has been said that “climate is what you expect; weather is what you get”. In other words, you can expect snow in Russia in January, but you may or may not get it on a particular day. Weather describes the condition of the atmosphere over a short period of time e.g. from day to day or week to week, while climate describes average conditions over a longer period of time.

Climate can be viewed as the slowly varying aspects of the air- water-land system. This variability can be seen in the long-term daily, monthly, and yearly averages for different weather conditions. Scientists present this data in many ways. They may use climographs, which show information about specific places, or they may create maps, which can show regional and worldwide data.

The effects of climate can be seen in the distribution of Earth’s life-forms. Temperature ranges and the amount of sunlight and precipitation determine what plants can grow in a region. They also affect which animal species can live there. People are more adaptable; even so, climate can be a limiting factor on the size of a population.

Knowing what to expect is important for planning purposes: The climate of a region affects whether a person needs to lay in supplies of heating oil, stock up on mosquito repellent, or do both. Tables with climate data can be useful to individuals and community leaders alike. Knowing the coldest temperature ever recorded at a city on a particular day can help that city plan for its energy needs; knowing how average annual low temperatures have changed since 1850 in a particular state can provide clues to changes in insect migration. And if you know the average wind conditions at a place you might decide to meet your energy needs with wind power.
